Florence Copper now has approximately 360 construction personnel hard at work on our site. Collectively, this team has safely and successfully logged ~450,000 hours to build the project.\u00a0\u00a0We are incredibly proud to be the only greenfield copper producer currently under construction in the U.S.<\/p>\n
A key focus of the construction program at Florence Copper is wellfield expansion, with five drill rigs now operational on-site. In addition, construction of the commercial SX\/EW plant is well underway (photo above). This facility will play a crucial role in the copper production process, plating copper cathode sheets right here in Florence. Florence Copper is on track to become the third-largest copper cathode producer in the U.S., strengthening domestic mineral security at a time when America remains reliant on copper imports and China produces nearly half of the world\u2019s refined copper.<\/p>\n
