$2,000 Grant to Florence Friends of Kids First Foundation<\/em><\/p>\n

A $2,000 grant from the Florence Copper Community Foundation will support professional development opportunities for school administrators through the Florence Friends of Kids First Foundation. This funding is crucial because due to budgetary constraints, FUSD faces significant challenges in funding professional development for its leadership team. With this grant, school administrators will be able to attend essential learning experiences that will help them better serve students and ensure high standards of education.<\/p>\n

Rita Ezzai, Director of Public Relations for Florence Unified School District, shared her thoughts on the importance of this donation: \u201cAs the Director of Public Relations, it is my strong belief that investing in professional growth empowers our staff to better support our students, fostering a stronger, more connected community dedicated to success. I am truly excited to see the lasting difference this grant will create in our district.\u201d<\/p>\n

$3,000 Donation to FUSD High School Marching Bands<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition to the professional development grant, Florence Copper made a $3,000 donation to support the marching bands at FUSD\u2019s three high schools\u2014$1,000 for each school. This donation will help cover costs for instruments, uniforms, and other essential needs for the talented musicians who bring pride to their schools and the local community. The marching band program plays a key role in fostering school spirit and providing students with opportunities to develop teamwork, discipline, and creativity.<\/p>\n

$1,500 Donation to FUSD Athletic Programs<\/em><\/p>\n

In the Fall\/Winter 2024 semester, Florence Copper also awarded $1,500 to FUSD\u2019s athletic programs, helping to fund equipment, uniforms, and resources for student athletes across the district. The donation highlights the project\u2019s ongoing commitment to supporting students\u2019 extracurricular activities and ensuring that every student has the chance to succeed both in the classroom and on the field.<\/p>\n
