Florence, Ariz. (May 16, 2017) \u2013 Florence Copper Inc. awarded $2,000 in scholarships to Florence High School seniors at the school\u2019s awards ceremony on May 16, 2017. Rebecca Rios, Florence Copper\u2019s senior government and community affairs advisor, and Stacy Gramazio, Florence Copper\u2019s manager of communications and public affairs, presented the scholarships that evening. This completes Florence Copper\u2019s 7th<\/sup> year of the Creating Opportunities Scholarship Program. Students were asked to submit videos on \u201cHow Copper Plays a Role in Your Everyday Life\u201d in addition to other requirements. The winning videos are available on the Florence Copper YouTube channel, www.youtube.com\/florencecopper<\/a>. Each scholarship winner was awarded $1,000 to use at an accredited college or university.<\/p>\n

Florence High School Recipients<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Keith James Kinney<\/td>\nKeith \u201cKJ\u201d plans to attend Arizona State University and study business. Keith is an actor who has performed in many school plays at Florence High School. He also was vice president of the school chess team, and is graduating with high honors.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Kamille Green<\/td>\nKamille plans to attend Arizona State University and study robotics engineering. She has been an active leader at her school, participating in volleyball as team captain, the National Honor Society as its vice president, and Link Crew. Kamille also served as a volunteer for many local nonprofits including Compassion Queen Creek.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

ABOUT FLORENCE COPPER<\/strong><\/p>\n

Florence Copper Inc. is proposing to develop an in-situ copper recovery project in Florence, Arizona. Not a mine in the traditional sense, Florence Copper will use a water-based solution to dissolve and recover copper minerals from a deposit more than 400 feet below ground.
